How did the project come about?

Amphora Maris comes from a dream of  friends about the way how the wine can aging in the deep sea as the ancient Roman wines has been doing along more than 2000 years and they steel keep the appropriate organoleptic qualities.

From Italy, we specially feel the ancient Roman wine culture about the way how they respected this old and amazing beverage and we would bring to you all the same passion we feel.

Second Principle

Biodynamic Calendar

Rhythms and cycles of the moon, stars, and planets influence the growth and development of plants and animals. The biodynamic calendar provides detailed astronomical information and indications of optimal times for cultivating, harvesting and using the biodynamic preparations.

Third Principle

Biodynamic Preparations

Biodynamic viticulture requires special compost preparations that are stuffed into cow horns and buried in the soil. After few months, the cow horns are dug up and reused and the ’stuffing’ is distributed throughout the vineyard.

Happy Animals

Natural ecosystems include plants, animals, and men which work together with complementary roles. Biodynamics aspires to create the same harmony within the farm seen as a single self-sustaining organism. Animals are therefore fundamental and their well-being determines the health of all the other elements of the ecosystem.

Fifth Principle

Stronger Vines

The biodynamic spray and compost preparations bring vines into a “dynamic” relationship with soil, water, air, warmth, and cosmos to help them develop in a healthy and balanced way, access the full spectrum of nutrients they need, and become more resilient to pests, diseases, and extreme climate conditions.

Squeezed Grapes

Wines made with the lowest possible chemical or mechanical intervention: it’s a better way to drink. It’s better for the drinker, the maker, and the planet.

In-home Restaurant

Enjoy an intimate culinary experience within our private dining-room. Gloria and Fabrizio will cook seasonal authentic, homemade food in front of you. Eventually, while cooking they will let you know more about the dishes, more about their personal story, and more about the sources of the ingredients. There is only one big table where we sit our friends, as we would do at home.

We are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for dinner (from 7:30-11:00pm) and we offer one fixed-price menu.

Reservations are required at least 1 day in advance.

Private dinners are hosted for a minimum of 8 guests to a maximum of 22, during all days of the week. Reservations, in this case, are required at least 3 days in advance.

Half an hour spent in nature with the kids and pets, this tour includes a guided walk through the vineyards and the cellars learning about  biodynamic wine directly from the makers: Davide, Lorenzo and Niccolò.
Cost per person 5€.
